Welcome to the TK website.

What is Traction Kiting? In brief, traction kites are specially designed kites which are flown by individuals and produce a large amount of power or pull. This power is then harnessed and used to pull the individual in a buggy, on a land board or on a surf board. This is traction kiting.

People can reach amazing speeds with these kites but can also reach amazing heights aswell! With experience and skill the kiter can perform tricks in their buggys, on their land boards or on their surf boards and reach speeds in excess of 30mph!

Here at TK we hope to give you information about the sport in Scotland and also provide you with a place to chat to other kiters. Our kiting forum provides kiters around Scotland a central place to organise meets and talk about their kiting experiences.
We also provide a kiting gallery for our users to upload their kiting pictures too, if you would like your own personal folder, please contact us.

TK are also stockist for Ozone, PKD, Dakine, Trampa and SeaSpecs. Please visit our kite shop to see all our products.

TK are also in touch with a number of BPKA instrctors around the country who offer kite lessons, buggy lessons and land board lessons. TK are based mostly at St Andrews, Fife but can be found around Scotland.

Once again TK will be Lighting up the Sky in aid of Children in Need.

TK riders go to the Euros!
Owain and Ped have taken part in the European Championships in Gravelines, France, as part of the Scottish Team.
They both had a great time and learnt a lot from the experience.
Both are now looking forward to the start of the Scottish racing series which starts on the 11th October at Sands of Luce, Scotland.

The count down has begun!
TK Tiree Trip 3 is only 4 weeks away! Approx 30 people will be joining the TK team in Tiree this year for 2 weeks of kiting on one of the best places in Britian for kiting!

We have been busy planning our events for 2008. 2007 was a great success with Scotland's first wind festival (Just Add Wind) and the third TK on Tiree trip which was the best trip yet!
